If you want to see the light, then you should follow my suggestion.
There is a place where it will happen. You only have to make sure to be in true darkness, to have a couple of spare hours at the end of the day and that you want to make the effort to walk from trendy Piazza XXIV Maggio heading south on Corso San Gottardo, Via Meda, further down to the super pop neighbourhood and the end of via Montegani. If this walking part of the game hassles you, there is Metro station ABBIATEGRASSO very close to the catch.
This 1925 church seems to have nothing to offer, despite the fact it was designed by master architect Giovanni Muzio (the architect of Triennale). One must step in to be overwhelmed by a american artist Dan Flavin’s fluorescent light work. It is made of blue and green fluorescent tubes to the central nave, red light for the transept, gold for the apse.
Transept and apse are also featured rows of Black Light. The work was installed in 1997, one year after Flavin death, thanks to Dia Art Foundation, New York and Fondazione Prada, Milano.
Best effect can be seen in low light conditions, any rainy day or after dusk.
